Unfortunately we bumped into storm Barbara during the cruise. This meant a change of itinerary. After Oslo the Captain made a ‘mad dash’ through the, at times, force 11 storm and headed for slight water in the lea of the land off the Suffolk coast. This meant that we could have a calmer Christmas Day hiding from the storm. The Suffolk & Norfolk Lifeboat paid us a visit and brought Santa with them. We were also unable to navigate the locks into Amsterdam so port changes were made.
